Nestle India declares interim dividend of Rs.154 crore


The FMCG major Nestle India, recovering after the lifting of ban on its popular instant noodles Maggi, today declared a second interim dividend for 2015 at Rs.16 per share, amounting to Rs.154.26 crore.

The Board of the company, in a meeting held on Friday “declared second interim dividend of Rs. 16 per equity share for 2015 on the entire issued, subscribed and paid-up share capital of the company of 96,415,716 equity shares of the nominal value of Rs.10 each,” Nestle said in a BSE filing.

“The second interim dividend for 2015 will be paid on and from December 23,” it added. The company follows January-December financial year.

Earlier, on May 15, Nestle India had declared an interim dividend of Rs. 14 per equity share for the year. It was paid from June 2.

Nestle India relaunched Maggi noodles in the market on November 9, after fulfilling conditions set by Bombay High Court, which lifted ban imposed by the FSSAI and Maharashtra FDA.

Nestle India shares were trading 0.35 per cent up at Rs. 5,857 per scrip during afternoon session on BSE.
